2017 Award Recipient Robin Horner

The successful candidate for 2017 Danielle Horwitz Social Justice Award is Ms. Robin Horner.


Robin Horner has been an organizer and speaker at the Vancouver Climate Change Conference and the Vancouver Earth Day Celebration. She has spoken at the Renfrew Collingwood TEDx Conference, and the Windermere WE DAY event and has founded and led the Windermere Secondary School Feminism Club.She has worked as a volunteer at the BCSPCA Kids Camp as well as well as for the constituent offices of several BC Members of Legislative Assembly.

Robin plans to attend a BC university next year to study Political Science. 

Robin, in attendance with her Mom, grandmother, school principal Mr. Rick Mesich, Mr. Rick Craig of the Justice Education Society and Vancouver’s Mayor Gregor Robertson will be receiving the 2017 Danielle Horwitz Social Justice Award at a ceremony at Vancouver City Hall next month.
