She is committed to making her community a better place

  • Served as Vice President of Vancouver District Student Council  a body representing all high schools
  • Initiated VDSC’s ‘Let’s Talk About It’ , a forum following the Stanley Cup riots
  • Served on CitizenU, a youth geared anti-discrimination organization sponsored by the City of Vancouver
  • Led workshops on anti-racism and anti-discrimination
  • Organized a press conference which focused on anti-homophobia and anti-bullying
  • Co-organizer of VDSC’s “Student Trustees” initiative which is led to student representation on School Boards throughout the province
  • Day Camp Leader at a Children’s Summer Literacy Camp teaching children with reading difficulties
  • Teen Mentor for an inner city elementary school student with Big Brothers and Sisters of Canada
  • Secondary Principals List for academic excellence
  • Currently enrolled in UBC Faculty of Science with goal of International Development
